The Ghost Extended is the long-wheelbase (EWB) version of the standard Ghost, with the same 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12, 8-speed ZF automatic and rear-wheel drive. The wheelbase grows 170 mm (6.7 in) over the standard car and the overall length grows the same amount, with all of the stretch going into the rear compartment.
That extra length is the whole point: it buys limousine-grade back-seat legroom and easier entry and exit, aimed at owners more likely to be driven than to drive. Everything else, from the powertrain to the ride, matches the standard Ghost.
US NHTSA campaigns for this model. A listed campaign may not apply to a particular car, and may already have been remedied — check a specific car by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
A 170 mm (6.7 in) longer wheelbase, all of it added to the rear compartment, for noticeably more back-seat legroom and easier entry. The powertrain, ride and everything ahead of the rear doors are shared with the standard car, so it's the same Ghost with a bigger back seat rather than a different driving experience.
