The Rolls-Royce Ghost is the marque's smaller saloon, sitting below the Phantom and sharing its platform with the Wraith and Dawn. This is the first-generation car after its Series II facelift, shown at Geneva in March 2014 and sold roughly as model years 2015 through 2020, before the all-new second-generation Ghost arrived for 2021. Power is a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 (the BMW-derived N74B66), driving the rear wheels through an 8-speed ZF automatic.
The Series II brought re-sculpted LED headlights with unbroken daytime running lights, revised front styling and retuned suspension. It's built to isolate rather than involve: the V12 is deliberately quiet and effortless, the ride is the class benchmark, and the whole car is engineered around calm. Ownership costs are the flip side, since tires, brakes and the air-suspension hardware are all big, dealer-priced items.
