The Ghost Extended is the long-wheelbase (EWB) version of the Series I Ghost, first available for model year 2012. The wheelbase grows 170 mm (6.7 in) over the standard car and the overall length grows the same amount, with all of the stretch going into the rear compartment.
That extra length is the whole point: it buys noticeably more rear-seat legroom and easier entry and exit, aimed at owners more likely to be driven than to drive. The powertrain, ride and everything ahead of the rear doors match the standard Ghost, and the longer body adds about 115 lb (52 kg) over the standard car's curb weight.
