The 911 Turbo Cabriolet (993) is an anomaly: just 14 were hand-built by Porsche Exclusiv in 1995, and they do NOT use the new twin-turbo all-wheel-drive system of the coupe. Instead they carry the older 964-derived single-turbo 3.6-liter flat-six (about 355 hp / 360 PS) driving the rear wheels through a five-speed manual.
It is the only air-cooled 911 Turbo convertible Porsche ever built — the company never offered one again after this run. Its rarity and one-off engineering make it a curiosity within the 993 range rather than a mainstream model.
