The 911 Carrera T (992.2) is the manual-only, driver-focused base 911 — and the lightest 992.2 Carrera, precisely because it stayed non-hybrid while the GTS gained weight. It keeps the base 388-hp tune of the 3.0-liter twin-turbo, but drives it through a six-speed manual only (the box is the old seven-speed using its first six ratios). Rear-axle steering is now standard, on a T-specific PASM sport suspension.
The lightness comes from reduced sound insulation, lightweight glass, deleted rear seats and optional CFRP buckets rather than outright pace. As a first-year car its watch items are software recalls.
