The 911 GT3 RS (991.1) is the lighter, wider, more track-focused GT3. It enlarges the GT3's direct-injection race engine to 4.0 liters, revving to 8,800 rpm, still PDK-only, in a much wider body with the Turbo-width rear track for grip and downforce.
The RS is lighter than the GT3 despite its fixed wing and roll structure, and the story is construction as much as mass: a magnesium roof plus carbon-fiber (CFRP) front lid and engine cover. Note the Weissach lightweight package was a later 991.2 RS item, not fitted here.
