GT-R Track Edition arrived for MY2014 as a track-focused package built on the Premium car: a stiffer Bilstein suspension tune, forged-aluminum Rays wheels, carbon-fiber front and rear spoilers, added brake-cooling ductwork, and rear seats deleted in favor of fabric-covered package bins. It uses the same 545-hp/463-lb-ft engine as Premium -- no extra power of its own.
Despite the lightweight parts, independent testing didn't find the Track Edition to actually be lighter than a standard Premium. Car and Driver's own scale put it heavier than Premium's published curb weight, likely because the added brake cooling and suspension hardware outweighed what the deleted seats and lighter wheels saved.
That's a metric/SAE mix-up in some secondary listings, not a real difference. 553 PS converts to almost exactly 545 hp -- the Track Edition uses the identical engine and output as the MY2013-2016 Premium; it wasn't given more power of its own.
