GT-R Spec-V ("V" for "Victory") is a Japan-only, track-focused special unveiled at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon. It was never sold in the US. It uses the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo VR38DETT V6 as the standard car, fitted with larger turbochargers and a steering-wheel over-boost button that can raise mid-range torque to 449 lb-ft for up to 80 seconds.
Weight comes down by about 132 lb (60 kg) versus the standard CBA GT-R, via a carbon-fiber rear spoiler, front grille and brake ducts, deleted rear seats, and carbon-ceramic brakes. The suspension is retuned roughly 20% stiffer than the standard car to match.
Pressing it raises mid-range torque to 449 lb-ft for up to 80 seconds — a temporary boost above the car's continuously rated output, intended for short bursts like a passing maneuver or a track straight rather than sustained use.
