The SLS AMG Black Series (2013-2014, 350 built) is the hardcore, track-focused SLS. The 6.2 V8 is uprated to 622 hp (631 PS) with a higher 8,000-rpm limit, and the car is stripped to 1,550 kg through carbon-fiber panels, a carbon driveshaft and torque tube, a titanium exhaust, a lithium-ion battery and lightweight bucket seats.

The Black Series treatment is more than the power number. It gets a wider track, coil-over suspension, an electronically controlled locking rear differential, extra carbon aero and Michelin Cup 2 tires. The result is the SLS turned from a muscular GT into a genuine track weapon.
