Forged-aluminum double wishbones front and rear with AMG Ride Control adaptive dampers.
The AMG GT R (2017-2021) is the track-focused C190, nicknamed the 'Beast of the Green Hell' for its Nürburgring development. The M178 V8 makes 577 hp (585 PS), and the car adds an active aerodynamic underbody element, a large fixed rear wing, rear-axle steering, a wider track and a nine-stage adjustable traction control dial.
It's the driver's car of the regular range. It weighs about the same as a GT S, so the step up is aerodynamics, chassis and power rather than a weight diet, with only modest carbon-fiber savings.
