The AMG GT C (2017-2021) borrows the GT R's wide body and rear track, adds active rear-axle steering and an electronically controlled rear differential, and makes 550 hp (557 PS) from the M178 V8. It slots between the GT S and the track-focused GT R as the fast road car.

Worth knowing: the GT C is not a lightweight version. The wider body, rear-axle steering and extra hardware make it a touch heavier than the GT S, so the gains are grip and capability rather than weight loss.
