The Artura Spider is the retractable-hardtop convertible version of the Artura, revealed in February 2024 as a 2025 model. It shares the coupe's M630 twin-turbo V6 plug-in-hybrid drivetrain, 8-speed SSG dual-clutch and MCLA carbon monocoque; the only meaningful differences are the folding roof and a small weight delta. The carbon-fiber roof is driven by eight electric motors and raises or lowers in about 11 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h (31 mph).
Because it launched as a 2025 car, the Spider carries the updated ~690 hp tune (up from the coupe's launch 671 hp) with the quicker gearshifts, and it matches the coupe's 205 mph top speed. It weighs 3,439 lb (~1,560 kg) DIN curb, only ~137 lb (~62 kg) more than the coupe, so performance is essentially unchanged. McLaren claims 0–62 mph in 2.9 seconds.
