The Artura GT4 is McLaren's track-only customer-racing car, replacing the 570S GT4. It keeps the MCLA carbon monocoque and the M630 twin-turbo V6 but deletes the hybrid system entirely (hybrids are not permitted under GT4 regulations), which saves roughly 287 lb (~130 kg) of electrical hardware and helps make it about 220 lb (~100 kg) lighter than the 570S GT4 it succeeds.

In place of the road car's 8-speed SSG and electronic differential, the GT4 runs a bespoke motorsport 7-speed gearbox with shorter ratios and a mechanical limited-slip differential. It is a homologated race car, not road-registered: it carries Alcon brakes (six-piston front / 380 mm rotors, four-piston rear / 355 mm), a seven-setting adjustable rear wing, and Pirelli P Zero slicks on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. A less-restricted Artura Trophy one-make racer was also derived.
