The McLaren 750S Spider is the open-top version of the 750S, launched alongside the coupe in April 2023 as a 2024 model. It uses a one-piece Retractable Hard Top that raises or lowers in about 11 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h (~31 mph). With the roof up it matches the coupe's aerodynamics and structure, because the carbon "MonoCage II" tub needs no additional strengthening for the open body. Mechanically it is the coupe: the same 740 hp / 590 lb-ft twin-turbo M840T V8, the same 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and rear-wheel drive, the same 206 mph top speed. The only meaningful difference is the roof and the ~108 lb (~49 kg) weight penalty that comes with it.
As with the coupe, the 750S is a ~30%-new evolution of the 720S rather than an all-new car, keeping the tub, silhouette and engine architecture while adding power, shedding weight, shortening the gearing, and modernizing the electronics and infotainment. The Spider carried a modest premium over the coupe (roughly $345,000 US at launch vs. ~$324,000) and, like the coupe, remains in production for 2026 with no announced successor.
There is no published figure. McLaren does not release cumulative build totals for the 750S, and it's a standard series-production model so no reliable production total exists.
It is 590 lb-ft (800 N·m). Some secondary sources mis-state it as 568 lb-ft, but that figure belongs to the older 720S, not the 750S.
