The Urus S (2023) is the updated base Urus, replacing the original 2018 car. It makes a little more power from the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, and it picks up styling and equipment updates plus the option to dress it up closer to the Performante's look without the stripped-down, track-biased setup. Mechanically it stays very close to the original: air suspension, all-wheel drive, and the 8-speed automatic.
It's the comfortable, do-everything Urus. Where the Performante trades ride quality for more sharpness, the S keeps the air springs and the softer daily manners, just with a bit more power and newer aesthetics.

Not for the mechanicals alone. The two are very close under the skin, so buy on condition, options, and price rather than the badge. The S is worth seeking out mainly if you want the later styling and equipment; otherwise a well-kept original is the same experience for less.
