The Huracan STO (2021-2024) is the rear-wheel-drive, track-focused road car pulled straight from Lamborghini's race programs. STO stands for Super Trofeo Omologata, marking it as the road-homologated distillation of the Super Trofeo one-make car and the Daytona- and Sebring-winning GT3. At 2,952 lb (~1,339 kg) dry it's about 95 lb (~43 kg) lighter than the Performante and the lightest road Huracan of all.
The weight comes off through roughly 75% carbon-fiber bodywork, a one-piece "Cofango" front clamshell (hood, fenders, and bumper in a single hinged piece), a thinner windshield, magnesium wheels, an Alcantara racing cabin, and reduced sound deadening. A big fixed rear wing, a roof scoop, and race-derived cooling finish it.
US NHTSA campaigns for this model. A listed campaign may not apply to a particular car, and may already have been remedied — check a specific car by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
It's road-legal and street-drivable, but it makes no attempt at comfort. Expect a loud, firmly-sprung car with a stripped Alcantara cabin and reduced sound deadening, plus three track-minded drive modes named STO, Trofeo, and Pioggia (the wet setting) rather than the usual road/sport/track. Treat it as a race car with a license plate, not a Performante with extra wing.
Both are rear-drive 631 hp (640 CV) cars, but the STO is the stripped, hardcore track special: carbon clamshell, big fixed wing, magnesium wheels, sparse cabin. The Tecnica sits below it as the more usable, more comfortable rear-drive road car, without the STO's race-car compromises.
