SCM magnetorheological adaptive dampers, integrated into Side Slip Control 6.0.
Brembo carbon-ceramic standard.
The 488 Pista (2018-2020) is the hardcore, track-focused version of the 488, in the lineage of the 458 Speciale, 430 Scuderia and 360 Challenge Stradale. Ferrari uprated the twin-turbo V8 (now the F154 CD) to 710 hp, the most powerful V8 the company had built at the time, and stripped about 90 kg out of the car to 1,280 kg dry using carbon-fiber body panels, a Lexan rear window, lighter engine internals and optional carbon-fiber wheels. Much of the engine and chassis work came straight from Ferrari's 488 Challenge and 488 GTE race programs.
It introduced Side Slip Control 6.0, which ties together the electronic differential, F1-Trac traction control and the magnetorheological dampers, and adds the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer (FDE) for the first time, a system that trims yaw by modulating brake pressure at individual calipers when the manettino is in CT-OFF. It laps Ferrari's Fiorano test track in 1:21.5, and 'Pista' is Italian for 'track', which is exactly the point.

Its weight savings and much of its engine, aero and chassis development come from Ferrari's 488 Challenge and 488 GTE race cars, including Inconel exhaust manifolds, a lighter crankshaft and flywheel, titanium connecting rods and carbon-fiber intake plenums.
