Magnetorheological (SCM) adaptive dampers.
Brembo carbon-ceramic (C/SiC) standard; larger front discs than the F430.
The 430 Scuderia Spider 16M is the open-top version of the 430 Scuderia, built as a limited run to celebrate Ferrari's 16th Formula 1 Constructors' World Championship, won in 2008. The 16M in the name is that title count. It carries the Scuderia's 503 hp (510 PS) 4.3-liter V8, F1 Superfast2 gearbox, F1-Trac and carbon-ceramic brakes into a convertible body, and Ferrari built just 499 of them, all pre-sold.
Compared with the standard F430 Spider it is about 80 kg lighter dry, with a stiffened chassis, added carbon fiber, lightened bumpers, unique forged wheels and larger front brakes. It is the rarest and most collectible of the 430 family.
