The 360 Spider (2000-2005) is the open version of the 360 Modena, with an electrically operated fabric top that folds under a tonneau behind the seats. Mechanically it is the Modena: the same 395 hp (400 PS) 3.6-liter F131 V8 and the choice of 6-speed manual or F1 automated single-clutch. The extra structure and top mechanism add weight, so it is a touch slower than the coupe.
It's most numerous single 360 variant, with more US cars than any other. As a soft top it trades a little rigidity and top speed for open-air access to one of Ferrari's last small-displacement naturally aspirated V8s. It shares the coupe's ownership considerations and known issues.
