The Ferrari F355 GTS is the targa-roof F355: a coupe body with a removable roof panel that stows behind the seats, giving open-air driving while keeping most of the Berlinetta's structure and lines. Mechanically it is the same car, the 3.5-liter 40-valve V8, 6-speed manual or the 1997-on F1 paddle-shift gearbox, so it drives much like the coupe with a little extra flexibility overhead.
The GTS is the rarest of the three main road bodystyles, with 2,577 built, and skews heavily toward the manual (2,048 of them). For buyers who want open-air use without the full convertible's added structure, it is the middle path between Berlinetta and Spider.
