2. 2On a 2025 car, confirm the turbo oil-line recall is closed. NHTSA campaign 25V-716 (a Do-Not-Drive, Ferrari RC 93) covers 2025 296 GTB/GTS cars where an under-torqued nut on the turbocharger oil-feed-pipe filter connection can loosen and leak oil onto hot parts, risking a fire; the fix inspects and retightens the nut. Only six US cars were named, but verify by VIN at nhtsa.gov.
3. 3Exercise the retractable hardtop through a full open/close cycle and check for leaks or fault messages; the folding-roof mechanism is the main hardware the GTS adds over the coupe.
4. 4As with the GTB, check high-voltage battery state of health and that the car has been kept on charge, and confirm the tire/damper setup (standard vs Assetto Fiorano with Cup 2R).
5. 5An unexpired, transferable factory warranty (7 years) is a meaningful plus.
