The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider is the convertible version of the 12Cilindri coupe, launched alongside it in May 2024. Mechanically it's the same car: the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter F140HD V12 (819 hp) revving to 9,500 rpm, an 8-speed dual-clutch, rear-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, and the same active rear aero. What sets it apart is a folding retractable hardtop (RHT) that stows electronically, so the open car keeps the coupe's shape and refinement with the roof up.

The roof folds in about 14 seconds and can be operated on the move at up to 45 km/h (28 mph). The trade-off is weight: the Spider is roughly 60 kg heavier than the coupe (dry) once you add the roof mechanism and body reinforcement, but Ferrari quotes effectively the same 0-100 km/h and top-speed figures. It's built in Maranello and, like the coupe, is a current series-production model.
