The BMW M5 Touring (G99, 2025-present) is the wagon version of the G90 M5, and the first M5 Touring ever sold in the US. It's mechanically identical to the sedan: the same S68 plug-in-hybrid V8 with a 717 hp (727 PS) combined output, the same 8-speed automatic, and the same M xDrive all-wheel drive. What it adds is a long roof and a much larger, more usable cargo area.
The wagon body costs a little weight over the sedan, so it's fractionally slower, but the character is the same fast, heavy, all-weather super-sedan. The last M5 wagon, the V10 E61, was a Europe-only car, which makes the G99 a genuine first for US buyers who want this much performance with a trunk this big.

Mechanically nothing separates them: same hybrid V8, same transmission, same M xDrive. The difference is the wagon body, which trades a little weight for a much bigger cargo area. And yes, the G99 is the first M5 Touring officially sold in the US. The previous M5 wagon, the V10 E61, was Europe-only.
