The base BMW M4 (G82, 2021-present) is the purist's pick of the range: the only version still offered with a six-speed manual, driving the rear wheels through the 473 hp (480 PS) tune of the S58 twin-turbo inline-six. It trades the quicker automatic trims' outright pace for the involvement of a clutch pedal and a gearshift.
It sits under the Competition as the entry point to the G82 M4, sharing the same Munich-built body, big vertical kidney grille and chassis, but keeping things deliberately more analog. If you want the manual, this is the one car in the family that has it.

This one. The base M4 is the only car in the G82/G83 family offered with the six-speed manual; the Competition, CS and CSL are all eight-speed automatic. If a clutch pedal matters to you, the base rear-drive coupe is the only route to it.
