Three-way adjustable coilover suspension, unique to the GTS.
Carbon-ceramic brakes are standard on the GTS, unlike the rest of the range where they're optional.
The BMW M4 GTS (2016) is the most extreme F8x-generation special, built around the first production use of water injection on a BMW. A fine water mist sprayed into the intake drops combustion-chamber temperature by up to 80°F, suppressing knock so BMW could run more boost and more aggressive ignition timing on the same S55 core, reaching 493 hp (500 PS) and 443 lb-ft (600 N·m). BMW originally announced a 700-unit worldwide cap but ended up building more than that before the line stopped in late 2016.
Lightweighting includes a carbon-fiber roof, hood and trunk lid, polycarbonate rear glass, a bolted-in roll cage (half cage for North America, full cage elsewhere), lightweight forged wheels and a titanium exhaust, bringing curb weight down to about 60 lb (27 kg) under a standard DCT M4.

Yes. Unlike the previous-generation M3 GTS (E90), which was Europe/Japan-only, the M4 GTS was federalized and sold new in the US, with roughly 300 of the original 700-unit plan earmarked for American buyers.
