The M3 50 Jahre is a 2022 heritage edition marking 50 years of BMW M, limited to 500 M3 sedans (plus 700 M4s built alongside it). Mechanically it's a standard M3 Competition: 503 hp, rear-wheel drive, 8-speed automatic. What sets it apart is a set of historic BMW Motorsport paint colors (Carbon Black, Macao Blue, Brands Hatch Grey, Imola Red, San Marino Blue), 'Edition 50 Jahre BMW M' door sills and a center-console plaque, and 19-inch front / 20-inch rear forged M wheels.
It's a badge-and-paint car, not a different machine. Buy it for the anniversary trim and heritage colors rather than any change in performance, since the running gear is the same Competition underneath.
