The base BMW M3 (G80, 2021-present) is the manual-only, rear-drive entry point to the sixth-generation M3. It runs the 473 hp (480 PS) tune of the S58 twin-turbo inline-six, a relative of the outgoing F80's S55 but with the closed-deck block and cooling shared with the X3 M / X4 M. It's the last place in the G80 range to get a clutch pedal.
It shares its Munich-built body and the polarizing tall twin-kidney grille with every other G80 M3, but keeps things deliberately simpler: no automatic, no all-wheel drive, just the six-speed manual sending power to the rear wheels alone.

Yes, but only this one. The base rear-drive M3 is the only G80 model offered with the six-speed manual; the Competition, Competition xDrive and CS are all eight-speed automatic. If a clutch pedal matters to you, the base car is the only way to get it.
