Standard across the range, including the 770 Ultimate, which retains the same carbon-ceramic units rather than upgrading them.
The DBS 770 Ultimate is the send-off edition that closed out DBS Superleggera production in 2023, before the Vanquish nameplate returned. It's a power and hardware update, not a lightweight special: roughly 7% more turbo boost pressure lifts output to 759 hp (770 PS), the front structure and rear undertray are stiffened (25% more front-end lateral stiffness), the adaptive dampers get unique tuning, and the transmission shifts faster. It rides on new 21-inch "Victor"-inspired wheels and adds more standard and optional exposed carbon fiber (clamshell hood, trunk lid, front splitter, an optional roof), while keeping the same carbon-ceramic brakes as the standard car.
Despite the added carbon fiber, Aston Martin's own published curb weight for the 770 Ultimate is higher, not lower, than the standard DBS Superleggera's — see the Common Questions below. Built at Gaydon in a numbered, sold-out run of 499 cars (300 coupe, 199 Volante), it was the final DBS Superleggera variant before the model was replaced by the third-generation Vanquish.
No — based on the published curb-weight figures, it isn't. Aston Martin's own figures put the 770 Ultimate coupe at 1,845 kg (EU-certified curb weight), heavier than the standard car's widely cited 1,693 kg (DIN curb weight), even allowing for the different weight standards used. Despite the send-off framing and added carbon-fiber panels, the 770 Ultimate's verified story is more power and a stiffer chassis, not a weight cut.
