Standard equipment across the DBS range, unusual for the segment at the time.
The DBS Volante is the convertible companion to the DBS coupe, premiered at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show and built through 2012. It carries the same 5.9-liter naturally aspirated V12, carbon-ceramic brakes, and VH-platform underpinnings as the coupe, with a power-folding fabric top in place of the fixed roof. The overwhelming majority of Volantes were built with the ZF Touchtronic II automatic; the manual gearbox was a rare option here.
Like the coupe, it succeeded the Vanquish S as part of Aston Martin's flagship line and was itself replaced when the second-generation Vanquish arrived in 2012.

Mainly the power-folding fabric top, which opens or closes in about 14 seconds. The extra structure and folding-top hardware also make it meaningfully heavier than the manual coupe, though it carries the same V12 and output.
You can, but it's a hard search — only about 45 Volantes got the manual gearbox, against roughly 803 automatics, a small fraction of total Volante production. If you find one, apply the same clutch-wear scrutiny that applies to manual DBS coupes.
