The DB9 GT Volante is the convertible companion to the DB9 GT coupe, introduced for the same final 2016 model year and sharing its uprated 5.9-liter V12, GT-specific trim, and interior detailing. It was the most powerful open-top DB9 built before the nameplate was replaced by the DB11 V8 Volante.
Like the coupe, the GT Volante's case rests on power and trim rather than weight savings: a sport exhaust, unique wheels and aero trim, and cabin pieces shared with the Vanquish. Torque is unchanged from the base DB9 Volante; only peak power increases.

No confirmed curb-weight figures exist for either Volante specifically, so a direct delta can't be verified. On the coupe, though, the GT's curb weight is essentially identical to the base DB9's — the GT designation there is a power and trim upgrade, not a lightweight special, and there's no indication the Volante pairing works any differently.
