The 911 Turbo Cabriolet (997.2) is the open-top version of the wide-body twin-turbo 911. It shares the new 3.8-liter DFI twin-turbo flat-six with variable-turbine-geometry turbos, all-wheel drive and a six-speed manual or seven-speed PDK, with a power fabric top.
As a DFI car the Turbo Cabriolet has no IMS bearing — the failure mode of the older water-cooled cars does not apply. Inspect the coolant pipes and DFI fuel system, and confirm the center-lock recall on 2010–2011 cars.
US NHTSA campaigns for this model. A listed campaign may not apply to a particular car, and may already have been remedied — check a specific car by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
