GT-R T-Spec debuted for MY2021 as a new, standalone trim with no lineage to a prior generation. It borrows Track Edition's wider front fenders and NISMO's carbon-ceramic brakes, but keeps the standard 565-hp engine rather than NISMO's 600-hp unit. Exterior colors -- Millennium Jade and Midnight Purple -- and the Mori Green leather/Alcantara interior are all pulled from historic Skyline GT-R nameplates.
T-Spec returned for MY2024 as the "T-Spec Takumi Edition," one of two final send-off specials for the US market (alongside GT-R Skyline Edition) marking the end of US GT-R sales that October. Nissan describes it as very limited but hasn't published a specific production cap.

No confirmed mechanical difference has turned up between the two model years -- same standard engine, same shared body-in-white weight. Nissan describes the Takumi Edition as very limited but hasn't published a production cap, so shop the two years mainly on styling and rarity rather than expecting a spec difference.
