GT-R Premium was the sole volume trim across every model year of this facelift generation, sold continuously from 2017 through 2024. Nissan's 2016 refresh brought redesigned front and rear fascias for better engine and brake cooling, a stiffer hood and C-pillars, a remapped transmission, a titanium exhaust, and a reworked interior with an 8-inch infotainment display and a carbon-fiber center console. Better cooling let Nissan turn up boost, raising output to 565 hp and 467 lb-ft.
A minor MY2020 update retuned the turbochargers for quicker response, cut transmission shift time to 0.15 seconds, and retuned the suspension and steering, while a cosmetic-only final facelift for MY2024 (shown at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon) reshaped the bumpers, grille, and rear wing for more downforce without adding drag, with no mechanical changes.

For MY2019 only, Nissan also sold a lower-content "Pure" trim -- essentially a stripped-down Premium. It wasn't kept on as an ongoing separate line, so a Pure you find today is best shopped and priced like a Premium of the same year rather than treated as its own distinct model.
