The SLS AMG GT Roadster (2012-2014) is the open version of the uprated GT: the 583 hp (591 PS) V8, the faster-reacting dual-clutch and firmer suspension, in the soft-top body with conventional doors. Like the GT coupe, it's more power and sharper response rather than a weight-saving exercise.

It keeps the base Roadster's powered fabric top and open-air access to the naturally aspirated V8's noise, now with the GT's extra output.
