Springs about 15% stiffer with aluminum-shell Koni dampers, ride height lowered 10 mm.
Fiber-reinforced ceramic discs, enlarged to 390 mm front (360 mm rear).
The SLR McLaren 722 S Roadster (2009, 150 built) is the open, limited-run version of the 722, and effectively the send-off for the SLR line. It pairs the 722's uprated 641 hp (650 PS) supercharged AMG V8 and stiffer, lower suspension with the roadster's powered fabric top and 19-inch wheels. Just 24 came to the US.
Sources on this car are sparse, which fits its rarity. It's the hardest-core open SLR: the 722 running gear in a soft-top body, closing out the Mercedes-McLaren partnership before the SLS AMG took over as Mercedes' halo car.
It carries the 722's uprated engine and its stiffer, lower suspension, plus the 19-inch wheels and bigger front brakes, in the roadster body. It was a hard cap of 150 cars closing out the SLR line, versus the standard Roadster's regular production.
