The AMG GT R Roadster (2019-2020) is the open version of the GT R, capped at 750 cars worldwide. It carries the GT R's 577 hp (585 PS) V8, active aero, rear-axle steering and wide body, under a three-layer folding fabric roof.

The roof and body reinforcement add about 176 lb (80 kg) over the GT R coupe, partly clawed back by standard forged wheels and a titanium rear silencer. It's the hardcore open C190.
