The Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale is the road-legal, track-focused version of the SF90 and, alongside the XX Spider, the first car in Ferrari's road-going lineup to use the XX Programme monicker. Revealed on June 29, 2023 and limited to 799 examples, it takes the SF90's twin-turbo V8 and triple-motor plug-in-hybrid layout and turns everything up: the F154 FB V8 makes 786 hp (797 PS), combined output rises to 1,016 hp (1,030 PS), and a new extra-boost logic in Qualify mode releases the last 30 hp for hot laps.
The defining visual change is a fixed rear wing, the first fitted to a road-going Ferrari since the F50 in 1995, part of an aero package that generates about 530 kg of downforce at 250 km/h. Ferrari also gave it revised shift logic borrowed from the Daytona SP3, retuned software and a lighter dry weight (1,560 kg) than the standard car. The result is a claimed 2.3 seconds to 100 km/h and 199 mph, with the emphasis firmly on track ability rather than outright top speed.
A 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 drives the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and three electric motors add drive: one (the MGUK) sits between the engine and gearbox, and two more, one per wheel, sit on the front axle. Those front motors make the SF90 all-wheel drive and also vector torque left-to-right; above about 135 km/h (84 mph), or once the battery is depleted, drive reverts to the rear. A 7.9 kWh lithium-ion pack gives roughly 25 km (16 mi) of electric-only range and can move the car on the front axle alone in eDrive mode. Mode selection is by a second steering-wheel dial, the eManettino (eDrive, Hybrid, Performance, Qualify).
The XX Programme is Ferrari's track-only, client-test-driver initiative, running cars like the FXX, 599XX and FXX K that owners can't register or drive on public roads. The SF90 XX Stradale and XX Spider are the first road-legal cars using the XX name.
