The Ferrari 812 GTS is the open version of the 812 Superfast and Ferrari's first series-production front-engine V12 convertible in about 50 years, the last one being the 365 GTS4 'Daytona Spider' of the early 1970s (the 550, 575 and 599 open V12s that followed were all limited editions). It keeps the Superfast's 6.5-liter F140 GA V12 (789 hp / 800 PS) and 7-speed dual-clutch, and adds a folding retractable hardtop that stows in about 14 seconds at up to 45 km/h.
Revealed in September 2019 and built in Maranello, it trades a little weight (roughly 75 kg over the coupe) and outright rigidity for open-air V12 noise, which is the entire reason to pick it. Performance is essentially unchanged: 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 340 km/h flat out. It was, at launch, the most powerful series-production convertible you could buy.
