The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano (2006-2012) is Ferrari's front-mid-engine V12 grand tourer, the successor to the 575M Maranello and named for the company's Fiorano test track. It put a detuned version of the Enzo's 6.0-liter F140 V12 into the GT line, making 612 hp (620 PS), driving the rear wheels through a rear-mounted transaxle for near-50/50 weight distribution. The chassis and body are aluminum, and the styling was one of the first Ferraris shaped with heavy attention to aerodynamics, including the concave 'flying buttress' rear pillars.

Two transmissions were offered: a 6-speed 'F1 SuperFast' automated single-clutch with roughly 100-millisecond shifts, which the vast majority of buyers chose, and a traditional gated 6-speed manual that only about 30 cars worldwide received. From 2009, Ferrari offered the HGTE (Handling GT Evoluzione) package: stiffer springs and rear anti-roll bar, recalibrated MagneRide dampers, a lower ride height, sportier exhaust and 20-inch wheels. It is a fast, usable V12 GT, and one of the more attainable ways into a front-engine Ferrari twelve.
