The BMW M4 Convertible Edition 30 Jahre, announced in February 2018, marks 30 years since BMW M's first M3 Convertible (the E30, launched in 1988). It's built on the M4 Convertible with the Competition Package, so it carries the 444 hp (450 PS) tune of the S55 rather than the base car's 425 hp. Only 300 were built worldwide, with 30 allocated to the US.
What sets it apart is entirely cosmetic: Macao Blue metallic or Mandarin II paint referencing earlier M3 convertibles, exclusive 20-inch Orbit Grey forged wheels, two-tone Merino leather, and a numbered dashboard plaque reading its position out of 300.
US NHTSA campaigns for this model. A listed campaign may not apply to a particular car, and may already have been remedied — check a specific car by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
