The M3 CS (2024) is the track-focused halo of the G80 range, running the high 543 hp (550 PS) tune of the S58 with standard M xDrive all-wheel drive. BMW quotes it about 75 lb (~34 kg) lighter than the M3 Competition xDrive it's based on, which means the AWD CS ends up only about 25 lb heavier than the rear-drive Competition despite the extra all-wheel-drive hardware.
That saving comes from CS-standard lightweight content: M Carbon fixed-back bucket seats, a carbon-fiber roof and hood, additional CFRP exterior and interior trim, and a titanium rear silencer. It also gets a firmer, retuned chassis and standard M Compound brakes (carbon-ceramic optional).
