The BMW M2 CS (G87, 2026 model year) is the lightweight, hotter top of the G87 range. The S58 is raised to 523 hp (530 PS), and unlike the standard M2 it's automatic-only (8-speed). Top speed climbs to 188 mph. BMW says the CS is about 45 kg (roughly 100 lb) lighter than the standard M2, achieved with a carbon-fiber roof, trunk lid, mirror caps and rear diffuser, plus forged wheels and carbon bucket seats.

That weight cut buys a sharper, more track-focused car on top of the extra power and revised chassis, and BMW has promoted a Nürburgring lap as a segment benchmark for it. The trade-offs are that there's no manual option and it costs far more than a standard M2. Fewer than 2,000 are expected in a single model year, though BMW hasn't published a hard cap.
