  A weak internal spring in the fuel tank ventilation valve may not hold the valve closed under hard driving, allowing fuel to leak; near an ignition source this could cause a fire. Audi dealers replaced the valve at no charge.

  Insufficiently crimped wiring on a DSG temperature-sensor connector could cause a false high-temperature reading and an abrupt, unannounced shift to neutral. The remedy was a transmission control module software update.
