The Audi SQ8 is the performance version of the coupe-roofed Q8, Audi's flagship SUV built on the Volkswagen Group's MLB Evo platform alongside the Q7, VW Touareg, and Porsche Cayenne. It swaps the base Q8's V6 for a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance, sending power through an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic to quattro all-wheel drive, with adaptive air suspension standard.

It reached US dealerships in spring 2020 as a 2020 model year vehicle. The US market has only ever received the gasoline SQ8; a diesel SQ8 TDI was sold in Europe, but Audi hasn't sold a diesel model in the US since exiting that market after the 2015 dieselgate scandal, so the question never really applied here.
