The Audi S5 Sportback (2018-2024) is a five-door liftback version of the S5, genuinely new to the US market for this generation — Audi's global lineup offered an equivalent B8.5-generation Sportback, but never sold it in the US. It shares its turbocharged 3.0-liter TFSI V6, 8-speed Tiptronic automatic, and quattro all-wheel drive with the Coupe and Cabriolet, adding rear doors and a hatchback rear for more practical cargo access.

Predecessor is listed here as the S5 Sportback (B8.5) for taxonomy cross-reference purposes, but no such US-market model actually existed — this is the first Sportback body style Audi has sold as an S5 in the US.
